Canadian gorillas are apes which were first discovered in Canada, but actually live in most of North America (even in USA). It is actually an orangutan relative, despite its gorilla-like appearance and size. It has a similar fur and skin coloration to orangutans rather than that of gorillas. They are herbivores that feed on grass, leaves, berries, flowers, and wood. Unlike any other non-human apes, these apes are actually increasing in numbers, able to tolerate human activities and even adapting to human settlements. They are also much more peaceful and are 98% less aggressive and 98% less dangerous than true gorillas of Africa.

They are a widespread animal of North America ranging as far north as southern British Columbia all the way to Venezuela. They thrived and flourished well mostly in northern South America due to the region paralleled to their original habitat of Africa. They as of today are documented in just about every state in America and are seen in Canada from southern coastal British Columbia all the way to New Brunswick. They are planned to be introduced to the Caribbean and Hawaii.
